Uranus-Pluto Opposition of 2040s

It seems weird that I feel the urge to write about an event which is still 27 years away but this may be the second hard aspect of the three outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto), which many of us may yet experience. The first was the Uranus-Neptune conjunction of 1993. My interest here is purely one of speculation. I shall look below at past events of this kind and conjecture the future.

The oppositions and conjunctions coincide with periods of upheaval, revolutions to be more precise. Scientific, technological and sociopolitical revolutions. The upcoming opposition will happen with Uranus in the Sidereal Leo and Pluto in the Sidereal Aquarius. This is the second time in 3 centuries the alignment will occur on this axis. The last such event was at the time of the French Revolution.
These were the beginnings of the Fixed Phase of the Aeon of Pisces, a time when events prepare the World for the ascent of a new Aeon of Aquarius. Venus, which is exalted in Pisces, is now expressed in the materialist sense. The time sees many practical inventions that precipitate the Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth century. I really hope we are at the dawn of an energy revolution, like nuclear fusion or similar.

The French Revolution was a time of emancipation of the middle class, slaves, Jews. This was not present throughout but the French Revolution gave an impulse to the process of emancipation that lasted into the twentieth century.

The opposition of Uranus-Pluto in the signs of Leo and Aquarius shall happen once more in our Aeon, in the twenty-third century but here I am more interested in past instances. Before the French Revolution, the opposition occurred in deep antiquity.

Ancient texts speak of the Hyksos that have settled in Egypt and toppled the local dynasty. The theme of a barbarian invasion is recurrent in the Ancient World in connection with the Uranus-Pluto cycle. Might be the primitive version of emancipatory drive that we see in modernity. The initial phase of the Aeon of Aries was Cardinal, where Mars, Venus, Sun and Saturn were the most prominently felt planets unlike our time when only Venus plays a part. Mars is the sign ruler, the ideal of the Aeon of Pisces, Venus is the ruler of men, men seeking comfort and riches. Saturn in Aries is depressed, boundaries are being shifted constantly. The Sun, the planet of ego, actors and heroes, is exalted in Aries and the Cardinal Phase of the Aeon of Aries is where most of the Greek myths of heroes come from.

Speaking of myths, Chinese chronicles tell of Jie of Xia being overthrown by Tang of Shang. The nature of the event, that is a revolution, a change of regime, perhaps also emancipation or rather the empowerment of a lower ranking clan are all associated with the Uranus-Pluto opposition. The accounts of Xia and Shang are considered mythical but the timing coincides with the astrological events and therefore may as well be true.
