De-dollarizarion as America’s Uranus Return
In this post, I would like to return to my post on America’s Uranus Return, and write few lines on what I think the future holds based on current trends. And one of those current trends that is poised to change America in 2029, is de-dollarization. During the last return in 1945, the US came from the war relatively unscathed and made a fortune on rebuilding Western Europe and Japan. The Americans also achieved global status of their currency, gradually but eventually all commodities began to be traded in US dollars.
And today, a number of countries are seeking solutions to avoid the use of the dollar. Dollar is still the reserve currency used in most trades but a number of nations are prevented from using the dollar system and thus have no choice. The US began using its own currency against its adversaries, and this way the use of the dollar became something exclusive, not everyone can use it now. However, other powerful countries are not rushing to make their currencies into a world reserve currency. China is definitely not, the EU as well. And perhaps the international trade will fracture into several zones, or people will adopt a neutral currency like Bitcoin.
